3rdBall

About Us

A small table tennis shop in Vilnius, founded and run by one player. Who is behind it, the formal details, and how it works.

Who is behind 3rdBall

3rdBall was founded in Vilnius by Lukas Sakalauskas. I play table tennis too, and to me it is more than a sport, so I choose every rubber as if I were choosing it for my own racket. It is a one-person shop: I check every sheet, pack every parcel and answer every email myself.

I started 3rdBall because buying Chinese rubbers in Europe meant a choice between big-retailer prices and a long wait from an overseas seller, never quite sure the sheet was genuine or the hardness was what the listing said. 3rdBall is the shop I once wanted to buy from myself: a short list of rubbers, everything clearly stated, hardness on both scales, honest prices, and fast tracked delivery inside the EU.

If you write to help@3rdball.eu, the answer comes from me, usually within one working day.

  • Payments are handled by Shopify: your card details never reach us.
  • Unused items can be returned within 30 days, and your EU consumer rights always apply.

What is 3rdBall

Serve, receive, attack. In Chinese training the third ball is the one you have engineered the first two to set up — the first real chance to finish the point. It is the ball your equipment either helps you hit or quietly stops you hitting.

It is the question we ask of every rubber before we stock it.

Reviews

Their words, not ours

“I pack every parcel myself, hoping to send a little of my love for the game with it. Sometimes, it seems, it arrives.”
